Every Home a Discipleship Centre is an 8-part discipleship series designed to help you influence others for Christ and create a culture of discipleship in your home, relationships, workplace, and community. Together, we will explore practical biblical principles for building relationships, modelling Christ, and making a lasting impact in the lives of others. Whether with family, friends, colleagues, or your Life Group, our prayer is that this series will equip you to be intentional in helping others follow Jesus.

The Restless Heart of An Angry Prophet

In Jonah 4:1–4, we encounter a surprising moment in the story of Jonah. After the people of Nineveh repented and God showed mercy, Jonah responded not with joy, but with anger. While Nineveh experienced revival, Jonah was restless. This passage reminds us that God is not only concerned with what He does through us, but also with what He is doing within us. In this session, we reflect on the condition of our hearts and explore how God patiently confronts, heals, and realigns our hearts back to His.

Barriers to Missions

In this final session of The Missionary Heart of God, we explore the often-overlooked barriers that can hinder us from fully participating in God’s mission. Through Jonah 4:5–11, we see that the greatest obstacles are not external, but internal, rooted in our attitudes, preferences, and comforts. One key reason is that couples often enter marriage with ideas shaped by the world, rather than following God’s design. In Ephesians 5, God gives a pattern for marriage that reflects Christ’s relationship with the church. In our previous lesson, we focused on husbands loving their wives sacrificially, just as Christ loves the church. In this lesson, we will look at how wives are called to submit to their husbands, reflecting the church’s loving and willing submission to Christ.
